  breaststroke, 100 yard any combination of freestyle and
  breaststroke)
-Must tread water for 2 minutes using only legs.
-Must swim 25 yards, retrieve a 10 lb brick from a depth of 7-10 feet, swim 25
  yards with the brick using legs only, and exit the pool without using a
  ladder or stairs within a minute and 40 seconds.
Ages: Must be 15 years old by the end of the course. Proof of age will be required  on the first day.
-Must attend all class hours and pass written and practical exams with at
  least an 80%. Lifeguarding/First Aid & CPR/AED
  2 year certification, Oxygen Administration & Universal Precautions valid
  for 1 year.
-$350 includes the non-refundable deposit, participant's manual, rescue mask, and PDF certification cards.
-A $150 non-refundable deposit is required to hold a spot in this class. This
  deposit will be put towards the total if you pass the pre-requisites.
-If you would like to pay in full for the class, you will be discounted $25 off the total class fee of $350.
Those under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian come with them to the first class to sign waivers. Payment must also be made by the end of the pre-requisite swim. If you do not pass the pre-requisite swim, the $50 deposit will only be assessed.
Please bring a bathing suit and towel to every class. Please also bring clothes that you are comfortable being on the floor in. There will be a dinner break during the weekday classes. Please bring dinner/snacks/waterbottle.

-Provides the knowledge and skills required to effectively manage
  lifeguards and to create an environment that keeps patrons, lifeguards,
  and the aquatic facility safe
-This class will go over the responsibilities of a lifeguard supervisor, how
  to select and train lifeguards, team building, injury prevention, risk
  management, and emergency response planning
Pre-requisites: None. It is HIGHLY recommended that participants currently possess a
  lifeguarding/first aid certificate from the American Red Cross or another
  nationally recognized organization. It is also recommended that
  participants have either lifeguarding experience or management
  experience in another occupation.
Ages: 16 and up-Upon successful completely of the Lifeguard Management course,
  attending all class sessions, participating in all activities,
  and successfully passing a written examination, each participant
  will receive an American Red Cross Universal Certificate indicating
  Lifeguard Management. There is no validity period for this certificate.
-Includes participant's manual with cd-rom. It is recommended that
  participants have the American Red Cross Lifeguarding manual
  as a reference. It can be purchased from the instructor if requested
  before the class for an additional $35.
Current class schedule:
-Recognize, respond, and prevent aquatic emergencies
-Perform self rescue skills
-Provide assistance to others with non swimming rescues
-Perform proper techniques for possible head, neck or back injuries
-None but must be comfortable in chest deep water
-Must attend all class hours and pass written and practical exams with at
  least an 80%. Basic water rescue valid for 3 years
-includes certification; there are two optional manuals that can be
  purchased by speaking to the instructor prior to the class
-Understand coaching conduct, swimmer safety, legal responsibilities,
  safety considerations for planning events in pools, on dry land or
  in open water
-Understand safety rules when teaching and practicing racing starts and
  head first entries
- How to use an emergency action plan
-Discuss common swimming injuries and causes, how to perform basic
  assists to distressed swimmers, and how to care for possible
  head, neck, or back injuries
-Must attend all class hours and pass written and practical exams with at
  least an 80%. Safety training for swim coaches valid for 3 years
-available for elementary aged children. A participant certification will be
  issued.
General Water Safety-great for those around pools, lakes, rivers, spas, and waterparks. A
  certification of attendance can be issued.
Home Pool Safety-addresses basic lifesaving techniques and safety precautions that
  should be taken when hosting a pool party. A certification
  of attendance can be issued.
